Nestled within magnesium- and calcium-rich marbles of the São Francisco Craton, boron- and CO₂-rich hydrothermal fluids gave rise to this striking association. The result is brilliant uvite crystals, born through metasomatic processes in carbonate rocks, elegantly set atop sharp, snow-white magnesite rhombohedra.

The uvite crystals display their classic short, trigonal prismatic form with lustrous, striated faces.
